College Go Week! September 25 - September 29
College Go Week is an annual event in the state of Indiana. The week is designated to help students of all ages plan and prepare for post-secondary education. We are excited to use this week to help our students and families learn more about the college admission process.
Several exciting events are planned for our students. Highlights include Cash for College Night on September 25 and the Onsite Application Fair this Friday. Keep reading for more information!

Ben Davis Application Fair!
Ben Davis High School Application Day will be held on Friday, September 29 from 10:00 - 12:45 in the Gym of Ben Davis High School. The gym will be arranged to include a college fair section, an application station, and an area for students to strike a pose with the mascot of their favorite college in front of a green screen. All students (grades 10-12) will be invited to visit the fair during their designated lunch time.
Students in the Class of 2018 from Ben Davis High School and Ben Davis University High School will participate by visiting the fair and completing on-site applications. Staff from the MSD of Wayne Township, The Indiana Commission for Higher Education, and other community partners will be facilitating this exciting event.
The Ben Davis High School IMPACT class with the highest number of students who submit an application will win a catered lunch!!!

The IU Groups Application is Now Available!!!
It is time to start the application process for IU Groups 2018. Groups is a supportive program for low income, first-generation college students. Students who are admitted to Indiana University through the groups program will attend an intensive summer program where they will learn important academic skills and have a jump-start on their college course work. The Groups application packet includes the application time line, basic eligibility criteria, and the application procedures. Applications must be complete & submitted to IU by November 1 and must include the following components.
- Groups Scholars Application
- IU Application
- Official Test Scores *sent by the testing agency to IU
- Official Transcript *Request your transcript in Naviance
- It is strongly recommended that you submit your FAFSA by 11/1/16
A groups call-out meeting is scheduled for September 28 during 9th period. Students do not have to wait for the meeting to begin working on their application.
