Teacher Feature: Vicky Livesay
Vicky Livesay received her Bachelor's Degree from Milligan, a Masters in Educations from East Tennessee State University and Middle Tennessee State University. She has been an educator for over 30 years in both the classroom and as an administrator. She is D-B EXCEL's Lead Teacher and was most recently nominated as the D-B EXCEL "Teacher of the Year". When she is not spending time excelling in the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 grown children, and one extremely lucky grandson. Vicky and her husband travel often, and they enjoy all aspects of theater including attending and performing. Vicky is not only works at D-B EXCEL, but she also works as the Vision Specialist for the KCS system. Vicky is an immensely valuable addition to the DBE family.

Taco Soup
1 lb. ground beef
2 cans Rotel
2 cans kidney beans
1 can corn
1 pkg. ranch dressing mix
1 pkg. taco seasoning
Brown the ground beef. Dump all ingredients into a large pot. Simmer for 15 minutes. Serve with cheddar cheese garnished on top. Crumbled up crackers or a dollop of sour cream is yummy in it too!

Regional Center for Advanced Manufacturing (RCAM) 2016 AMP Camp Information
The Regional Center for Advanced Manufacturing (RCAM) is holding AMP Camp again this summer for rising 8th and 9th grade students. AMP Camp participants join classmates in exploring hands-on experiments that demonstrate advanced technology skills needed for the 21st century workplace.
The Advanced Manufacturing Camp (AMP Camp) is a grant-funded program designed for rising 8th and 9th graders (having completed 7th or 8th grade in 2015–2016 school year). The camp gives students hands-on experience in Advanced Manufacturing technologies and science exploration to capture the excitement of manufacturing's future.
The dates for the camp are June 13 – June 17, 2016. Enrollment is limited and priority given to new campers. Apply early to reserve your spot!
