Weekly Notes - April 13
Rooted in Character Growing Towards Greatness (90-90-90)
Shout Out!!!
If we test it, Michelle Thiele knows about it. Michelle spends hours upon hours setting up test, training teachers in testing ethics, and running around on test day making sure everything goes the way it is suppose to go. She does this for ISTEP, ECA, NWEA, PSAT, iRead and AP. With ISTEP starting next week, let’s give Michelle a huge thank you.
Shout Out
Thanks to Diane Perlich, Megan Lortie and Kelly Behm for all of your hard work. This time of year, the Jr. / Sr. High office gets crazy.
We are in scholarship season in our guidance department. On top of that, we are getting ready for our senior night and graduation. Mrs. Behm does a great job of getting all of that organized as well as doing her every day job of answering to just about everyone in the school.
Mrs. Perlich and Mrs Lortie wear many different hats in their daily duties. Mrs. Lortie every morning sorts out substitute teachers while Mrs. Perlich sorts out student attendance. While doing that, both are fielding calls from parents and students with questions about everything from field trips to vocational school. I don’t think our school could run without them.
ISTEP Information from Michelle Thiele
I just want to remind everyone that we start ISTEP testing next week. We will follow the schedule below:
ISTEP test dates running on a 2 hr. delay schedule (All other days of the week are normal days)
Tuesday, April 18
Wednesday, April 19
Tuesday, April 25
Wednesday, April 26
Thursday, April 27 (all biology students will test in the cafe while 10th grade students will report to their testing teachers classroom) (8th graders will report to their testing teachers classrooms)
I have attached the list of Biology Students for you.
Students will need to report directly to the classrooms they have been assigned to each testing day. Please do not let anyone out of the classrooms during testing. We do not want anyone just roaming around. You will take attendance in your ISTEP testing or non-testing groups and let Diane know if anyone is missing.
PLEASE post the classroom assignments for the non-testers and remind them where they are to go on Monday so that we are ready to start testing on Tuesday. See Michelle Thiele if you have any questions.
