Principal's Update
RHS Families,
I want to thank you for your continued patience and flexibility with the challenges we are facing with the Covid Pandemic. Spokane Public Schools has made an adjustment to the school calendar for this year. Below are the dates impacted as of January 14th.
Calendar Adjustment : The next three weeks will include the following calendar days and adjustments:
· Monday, Jan. 17 – No school (MLK Day)
· Tuesday, Jan. 18 – No school (replaces March 14 snow make-up day)
· Monday, Jan. 24 –* No school for students depending on staffing shortages
· Monday, Jan. 31 – No school (semester break day)
For more detailed information about the calendar adjustment, please click on the link below.
RHS Spirit Game Date and Location Change: Due to current community transmission rates and updated guidance from Spokane Regional Health, Rogers High School is postponing the Spirit Game until February 2nd and moving the event to a larger venue at Eastern Washington University. This will give us time to continue to monitor and evaluate the current conditions and work with schools to ensure a fun and safe experience for all involved.
Last Few weeks of 1st Semester: With two weeks left in the semester, I encourage you to connect with your students about their progress in their classes. If your student needs assistance with their classes, please email their teacher or call the school at 509-354-6600.

Athletic Spectator Expectations
Spectators are expected to be masked at all times while inside the event.
Spectators are asked to sit within their family units and social distance as best they can from other family units.
Student sections must maintain 3ft distancing (one spot on the RHS bleachers).
Our student-athletes have been working hard to prepare for the season and we are all happy that spectators are being allowed back to watch them perform. We greatly appreciate your support of them and adhering to the expectations listed above.

HEART Program
We understand that some families may have had a change in their housing situation. This may qualify your children for additional services through our HEART (McKinney-Vento) Program. Please let us know if you are:
· Sharing housing with others due to financial hardship
· In a hotel/motel
· At a shelter or in transitional housing
· Staying in a car, park, campground, or other unstable situation
If any of these describe your current situation, please contact us at 509-354-7302. We can help with getting school clothing, school supplies, transportation to and from school, provide referrals to community resources, and more!
Click on our school link. Even if you fill one prescription it will help us raise funds.
