PRAIRIE POST
April 28, 2017
Principal's Message
Three Cheers for all of the PAWSOME EDUCATORS at Prairie Elementary!!! Next week, is Teacher Appreciation Week and we want to acknowledge the PAWSOME characteristics of all our educators. Please help us celebrate the work our educators do each and every day. Thursday evening the School District of Waukesha honored employees that have 15, 20, and 25 years of service. We are fortunate to have four members of the Prairie staff acknowledged:
Vicki Anderson (20 years)
Elizabeth Braun (15 years)
Maria Klassy (15 years)
Allison Rynders (15 years)
Please help us congratulate our years of service honorees.
Last week 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade scholars had the opportunity to celebrate differences during Autism Awareness Month with a presentation from Good Friends. We were grateful to have the opportunity to learn more about autism this month. Last week was also Tornado and Severe Weather Awareness Week. On Thursday, the entire state participated in a tornado drill. I think it would be a great idea to have your scholars discuss with you where they would go in the event that a tornado took place while they were at home. Finally, various grade levels have field trips planned throughout the next two months. Field trips are an extension of classroom learning, and we want all of our scholars to take advantage of these opportunities. If you have any questions or concerns, please let contact the main office.
