Lending Library
The Rodman Lending Library is BACK! (Thanks Susan! 😀)
Our lending library is stocked FULL of great reads for your little one. Feel free to look through and find you and your child's perfect read for home. To keep our books available to all, please be sure to write in your name and the book title on the designated clipboard near by. Thanks and happy reading!!!
Self-Regulation Station
We all have big feelings sometimes and it's important we find ways to talk and cope with these emotions. Belly breathing is a great way to connect the body and mind. Here is a suggested link from our School Psychologist and some conversation starts to support you!
Conversation Starters:
How did Nico feel when his block tower fell over?
When have you felt angry like Nico?
How did Nico feel after belly breathing?
Can you teach me how to do belly breathing?
December Event
A sensory friendly Nutcracker performance will be taking place at the Opera House in Boston December 6th. The Boston Ballet has been working hard over the past few years to be more inclusive. During the performance, they will allow iPads and other soothing devices, have less lights etc, and allow people back to their seats if they need to leave to take breaks. The greater demand from the public may hopefully encourage Boston Ballet to add more sensory friendly performances throughout the season. Hope you can attend!
