The Northeast
The Northeast, is a geographical region of the United States bounded to the north by Canada, to the east by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the South and to the west by the Midwest. Though lacking a unified cultural identity, the Northeastern region is the nation's most economical developed, densely populated, and culturally diverse region. Out of the four regions, the Northeast is the second most urban with 85% residing urbanization. The Northeast has coastal plains, broad low lands, and is along the Atlantic Ocean. Some resources are tee tiles, iron/steel, lumber,and fishing and shipping.

The Maryland flag contains the family crest of the Calvert and Crossland families. Maryland was founded as an English colony in 1634 by Cecil Calvert, the second Lord Baltimore. The black and gold designs belong to the Calvert family.
