A Message from our Principal, Mr. Pflugrath...
Dear Osbourn Family,
We wrapped up another amazing week at Osbourn! This past week we held our Senior Nights for fall activities. It was a time for us to recognize and honor our seniors and their devotion to the Osbourn community. Looking ahead please mark your calendar for PSAT Day on Tuesday, October 26th. All 9th, 10th, and 11th graders are invited to take the PSAT during school at no cost. Seniors will have a two-hour delayed start that day to accommodate the testing. Thursday, we have the SAT for Seniors that registered. Please come out and see “Puffs” our fall play on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday this week!
Be sure to continue doing your health assessments of your children before they leave home. I know they do not like it when you feel their foreheads and ask them questions, but please try to get them to understand that it is imperative that we remain a safe environment. We all want to enjoy our time together.
Also, ask your child if they have become a part of a club or activity. We have a ton of options for students, and they can stop by the Activities Office if they need to get to a list of them. There is something for everyone at Osbourn.
A quick check on our literacy program. We looked at our library circulation statistics to see how much reading was taking place. The report for the first eight weeks of school comparing the 2018-19 school year to this school year. In the 2018-19 school year, the first eight weeks there were 1,375 books checked out, compared to the first eight weeks this year our students have checked out 6,106 books.
I want to again thank you for your continued support and also for allowing me to be me in this job. It is a true pleasure to serve you all and one that I don’t take for granted. Please enjoy the remainder of the weekend and continue to be safe! We hope that you are able to get outside and enjoy this beautiful fall weather. As always, our teachers, counselors, and administrators are here for you if you need anything. Please let me know if you have any questions!
#OneOsbourn!
Sincerely,
Mike Pflugrath
Principal

Seniors -
We will have a mandatory senior meeting Tuesday, October 26, 2021 while the rest of the school takes their PSAT.
What do I need to know for that day...(Tuesday, October 26th)
*Be at school by 10:30am and proceed to the football stadium
*Bus transportation that day will run two hours later than your normal pickup time. For example, if your normal pickup time is 7:45 am, it will be 9:45am for seniors ONLY on Tuesday, October 26.
*Students who transport themselves to school will need to walk through the baseball/softball complex to access the football stadium. Do not park or be dropped off in the back of the school. Students will not be able to walk through the school due to PSAT testing.
*After our meeting we will take the 2022 class picture in the stadium, so wear your purple shirts!"
*We will only use the gymnasium if we have inclement weather.

Glow of the Week
Our glow of the week is our students that helped out with our Anti-Bullying activities last week. Danny Peden, Alex Shelton, Joe Roth, and Emily Wilsher for making blue hats. Students also delivered 2,300 hats to each and every classroom in preparation for our assembly. Those students included: Danny Peden, Youssef Ahmed, Keith Ventura, and Daniel Rivera. I have to admit that it was awesome seeing all of our students wearing the blue hats to stand up against bullies, as we celebrate Bullying and Harassment Prevention Month.
