Middle School Weekly Update

A Note From Mrs. Gray
Kindness is the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate especially without the expectation of receiving anything in return. Kindness has been shown to increase self-esteem, empathy, compassion, as well as improve overall mood. It can directly impact stress levels by lowering blood pressure and stress hormones. Kindness toward yourself and others can increase one's sense of connectivity, belongingness, and improve relationships in general.
This week during advisory time, students were involved in an activity which was a culmination of other lessons on kindness during advisory. Students were encouraged to spread kindness to teachers and staff in the school. Notes with kind words, thanks, and appreciation were written by students and will be distributed to teachers and staff. These hand-written notes will be very meaningful to our teachers and staff.
It is important to encourage our children to spread positivity by showing kindness to themselves and to others. Our hope is that such acts of kindness will continue among peer groups, families, and the community.

Athletic Passes are a great way for our middle school students (and families) to attend ALL athletic events at Gray Stone. These are purchased online at tickets.graystoneday.org. Single game tickets are also available if that fits your needs better. Students must have an athletic pass or a pre-purchased ticket in order to stay after school for home games. Reach out if you have questions.
Go Knights!
