Here in the US, we have natural resources similar to Denmark's. We have oil and natural gas which allows us to meet some of our local energy demand. Denmark's population is smaller than the US, and they are completely self-reliant on their own energy sources, whereas the US depends on imports of oil from other countries in order to meet the energy demands of our population.
