Counselor's Corner
Our value this month is Hope. Hope is believing that something good can come out of something bad. Albert Einstein once said, “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is to never stop questioning.” Einstein was one of the smartest people to ever live. He was constantly trying to answer his own questions about why things are the way they are and how the world works. He encouraged us to never stop asking questions. Asking questions helps you to learn and learning keeps your mind sharp. See if you can ask at least 10 questions today to learn something new.

Guidelines for Keeping Sick Children Home from School
A sick child who is unable to participate in school in a meaningful way should be kept home to rest and recover until symptoms resolve. Keeping a sick child home also protects other children, school staff, and visiting community members from contracting an illness that can be spread from person to person. Please be aware of the following guidelines for school attendance.
- Fever: A child should remain home with fever greater than 100° F and should only return after he/she has been fever free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medicine such as Tylenol or Motrin.
- Diarrhea/Vomiting: A child with diarrhea and/or vomiting should stay at home and return to school only after being symptom free for 24 hours.
- Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye): Following a diagnosis of pink eye, a child may return to school 24 hours after the first dose of prescribed medication has been administered.
If you take your child to a healthcare provider for an illness, please be sure to request a written letter stating when your child may return to school.

Greetings, 5th grade parents!
Due to a significant interest in practicing at home, students who purchased their recorders had the option to take their instrument home on Friday, March 8th.
Students are responsible for remembering their recorder on full Music days in Large Group.
Please help your student remember to bring their recorder back so they have the opportunity to demonstrate their practiced songs.
Thank you! :-)
