News from Ms. Hess
We met our CCE 5th Grade Pen Pals and went swimming this afternoon. Thank you for sending swimming suits and towels! They had a blast playing games, chatting, playing outside, eating lunch together, and swimming. They had to come up with 10 things in common with their pen pal, so be sure to ask your child what they had in common!
In literacy, students took the iReady end of year assessment. Results will be shared with you on the report cards. We will take the iReady math assessment next week on Tuesday and Wednesday.
In case your child forgets, you may want to remind them that they do have a token of their love for you from school in their bag to wish you a very Happy Mother's Day! Thank you for all of the love and guidance of the amazing mothers behind these wonderful kids!
HELP NEEDED - PHOTOS OF YOUR CUTIES!
You may send the photos electronically or physical copies which would be returned.
Thank you!
Table to Table Field Trip - Tuesday, May 29!
The ELP students have been creating a community service project that would impact hunger in our area. We will leave at 11am, travel to Iowa City, clean, break for lunch, and finish up cleaning. Students will be back by 2:30.
Please send a self-cooled lunch (those who signed up for school lunch will have a packed school lunch), comfortable clothes for cleaning, and a water bottle.
