Cultural Pride Week!
Today kicks off our CULTURAL PRIDE WEEK! Each day we will be traveling to a different continent and experiencing games that children from various countries would play. Every day this week, come down to the gyms and play 3 different games. Pick up your passports that you will use all week. As you participate, you will get a stamp. By the end of the week, you'll be able to redeem up to 15 stamps. Each stamp can earn you an ethnic treat on Friday at our Global Market.
Today we traveled to ASIA! We played ISH from Japan, GAJA, ORANG, SEMUT from Indonesia, and Catch the Dragon's Tail from China
On Tuesday, not only will we travel to Australia and Polynesia, but we will also have our CULTURAL PRIDE WEEK ASSEMBLY! Some of our students have worked really hard to share the beauty of their culture, and we are excited for you to experience songs and dances from all over the world.
Our world tour will take us to Africa on Wednesday, North and South America on Thursday, and Europe on Friday.
Our CULTURAL PRIDE WEEK motto: "Share our similarities; celebrate our differences" (M. Scott Peck).

Yearbook Student Shenanigans!
Lagoon Day!
Lagoon Day will be on Friday, May 10th. We wanted all of you to be aware of the date since this is earlier than normal. The reason for the early date is due to Lagoon Day option restrictions and end of year schedule conflicts. Tickets for Lagoon and buses will go on sale starting Monday, April 22nd and will continue through Friday, May 3rd, or until available bus seats fill up. A permission slip with more information will be sent home with students next week.
Quick reminder that in order to go to Lagoon you must...
- Have no outstanding fees
- No F's in 4th term.
- No more than 3 hours of detention for the school year.
- No N or U for citizenship in more than one class.
If you owe more than 3 hours of detention, you will not be able to attend, so start working off your detention hours with your teachers before or after school!
