REBEL WRESTLING FOUNDATION
Grades K-8: Winter Training Cycle
This season we are going to implement a new plan for our K-8 Group starting on Monday, October 30. This practice plan will be in effect on Monday and Thursday evenings from October 30 - March 1. You may register your child for RWF before or after practice on Mondays and Thursdays beginning October 30th, you may join the club at any time during the season. RWF is a year-around program that offers both training and competitions. We are committed to providing opportunities that will allow the athlete to continue to grow and flourish in our sport and in life!
Practice Plan:
Beginner Group 6:30pm-7:30pm
Advanced Group 6:30pm-8:00pm
We will begin practice with a warm up as 1 whole group from 6:30-6:45pm using both mats. Beginner Group will then practice from 6:45-7:30pm on one mat. Advanced Group will practice on one mat from 6:45-7:30pm. During these 45 minutes each group will be working on different techniques and drills that are suitable for their experience levels. We have very qualified staff members working with both groups instructing them on how to improve their wrestling skills during these 45 minutes. At 7:30pm the Beginner Group will be dismissed from the wrestling room. At 7:30pm the Advanced Group will be given a short water/restroom break. Then, the Advanced Group will go through an intense live wrestling and conditioning workout from 7:35-8:00pm using both mats.
The Coaching Staff will monitor our athletes’ progression as we move through the season, and determine if we feel a wrestler needs to be moved up to the Advanced Group or vice versa if the wrestler needs to be moved down to the Beginner Group. We are confident that this practice plan will best accommodate the needs of all of our RWF Athletes, and provide an environment that is suitable for all ages and ability levels to enjoy our great sport!
