Rougher Roundup Parent Edition
3 Houses - 1 Rougher Family (April 2021 Edition)
Note from Invictus House Principal
Hello Rougher Family,
Hello Rougher Family,
Spring is finally upon us! As many of you are aware, the Spring semester proves to be a busy time of year with events such as prom, spring sports, graduation, and let us not forget end-of-the-year testing. All Muskogee High School juniors will begin their testing on the following dates:
April 6th - ACT (Last Names A-J)
April 7th - ACT (Last Names K-Z)
April 12th - CCRA Science (Last Names A-J)
April 13th - CCRA Science (Last Names K-Z)
April 14th - CCRA US History (Last Names A-J)
April 15th - CCRA US History (Last Names K-Z)
All students who are classified as juniors must test. This includes E-Learners and Brick and Mortar students. Students will be expected to arrive on campus prepared for testing on their assigned date. All testing will be administered in G-Building and will begin promptly at 8:30 AM. Testing will start on time each day, so students must be on time to ensure they have adequate time to complete each exam section. Students are required to bring their laptops with them each day of the test, accompanied by chargers. Bottled water is permissible at the testing site. Virtual students needing transportation must contact their house counselor and provide their address. This information will allow the counselors to inform the transportation department of the students location for pick up. Click HERE for testing tips we believe can help our students prepare for testing success.
As we draw closer to the school year's close, we want to remind students of the importance of finishing strong! We ask our parents/families to help the MHS staff encourage our students to remember the spirit of excellence in this last stretch of the year. Additionally, students should be sure to take full advantage of the added layers of support they have available through their house office administrative teams. The administrative teams include our counselors, deans, life coaches, attendance secretaries, and house principals. Should a student need social/emotional/academic support, perhaps a high five, or maybe just someone to listen attentively to their needs, we are all here to help! Overall, we are excited to have the opportunity to be in school. Together we have met many challenges and face some difficulties. However, we continue to bring some truth to "Ain't nothing tougher than a Rougher"...Rough Nation, let's continue to persevere through these uncharted times and remember all steps count, even the shaky ones.
Yours in service,
Mrs. Latricia Dawkins,
