DOSS TEACHER OF THE YEAR!
Congratulation to all three of our Teacher of the Year nominees: Cindy Elbrecht, Stephanie Eddleton, and Daniel Jones. It's such an honor to be nominated by your peers and recognized for your hard work ! Daniel Jones is the 2016-2017 Doss Teacher of the Year. Congrats Daniel!
FLOODING AT DOSS:
Due to the flooding on Thursday of last week, some of the 5th grade classes have been relocated. Three 5th grade class are currently closed and cannot be used used at this time. Mrs. Daly's class will be in portable 2, Mrs. Keyes class will be in portable 32, Mrs. Hawkins class will move to 310, and Mrs. Crawford's class will meet in portable 21.
The flooding damage will be evaluated again on Monday to see when the teachers/students can get back in their classrooms. Please support 5th grade during this challenging time!
LEADERSHIP TEAM MEETING
There is a Leadership Team Meeting in the library on Monday, January 23rd at 3:15-4:15.

If a child is failing a subject, please be sure to send a progress note home. If this is a 504, SPED, or ELL student, please contact the administration so that we can schedule a meeting to discuss student progress.

FABPAC:
The Facility and Bond Planning Advisory Committee will have a meeting regarding the Facility Master Plan on February 1st at Burnet Middle School from 6-8PM. This meeting will be focused on the Anderson Vertical Team and planning for school facilities in our area. Do you want to be involved in developing the vision for our area? This meeting is one of our opportunities to give our input to the Facility Master Plan and join in on the discussion for Doss Elementary and Murchison Middle School.
FACULTY MEETING/BABY SHOWER:
Our January 30th staff meeting will include a Baby Shower for Beth and Brandon Hall for the arrival of Princess Madison!
PTA $$:
FYI, January 30th is the deadline to turn in reimbursement requests to PTA.
SELF-CARE:
A representative from LA Fitness will be back for another visit on Tuesday, January 31st from 11-1 in the lounge. They'd like to speak with the staff about their programs/services and their new promotional rate for AISD employees. Anyone interested will be able to enroll while they are here.

The window for i station MOY testing closes on Friday, January 27th.
Science Fair
The Science Fair is on Jan. 25th. Judging will take place from 8AM to 3PM. The Science Fair will be open to the public from 6-7:30PM. Parents, family, and friends of our Owls are invited to come celebrate all of the students' hard work.
