Description
- Gregg Thornton, Esq., Executive Director of Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board will be presenting the following topic.
- Through a review of real case studies, this training will review ethical dilemmas that can occur in the school setting for speech-language pathologists and audiologists and cover best practices to resolve them. This training will be interactive allowing participants to respond to questions posed for each case study.
Objectives
1. Name/describe ethical issues that school based SLPs and AUDs encounter in the schoolwork setting.
2. State ethical requirements adopted by the Ohio Speech and Hearing Professional’s Board.
3. Describe how to recognize and appropriately respond to an ethical dilemma.
4. Describe how to implement and follow an ethical decision-making process to effectively resolve an ethical dilemma.
