College Info Geek
I’ve recently discovered this amazing website! It contains articles, videos and resources that are extremely helpful and important as you transition to post secondary education. It includes study tips, packing lists, resources for career and life skills, and it even challenges you to write your own "impossible list". It's one of the coolest websites I’ve seen in a while!
College Parent Central
Here is a website especially for parents! College Parent Central contains awesome resources to help parents prepare and adjust to the transition of having a student in college. It has really great articles and helpful advice!
Living with a Roommate
Whether you are finding an apartment with friends, or living in a dorm with a random roommate - sharing space with someone will be a new and different experience. This article gives great suggestions on how to make it successful.

Wisconsin American Legion Law Enforcement Career Academy (WALLECA)
Many of you have an interest in Criminal Justice or Forensic Science. Consider applying for the WALLECA - a FREE summer training program to help you develop skills and gain great exposure to this important field. This program of The Wisconsin American Legion is a 5 day academy held at the Wisconsin State Patrol academy at Ft. McCoy. The academy is scheduled for July 29-August 2, 2024.The application is due March 31st.

REMINDERS
Local scholarships
The window for the local scholarships opened on Friday March 1st. All of the information can be found HERE . Be sure to complete the Letter of Recommendation form and ask people well in advance for letters. Some scholarships require essays - be sure to do these - it is well worth your time; every amount helps when talking about the high cost of tuition. All application materials are due to Ms. Poirier in the guidance office on Tuesday, April 2nd by 3:00. Please see Ms. Poirier for specific help or questions.
Madison College Scholarship Portal
The Madison College Scholarship window for new students opens March 25th and closes April 25th.
Complete one application to be considered for many scholarships.

Senior Project Presentation date
The Senior Step it Up presentations are scheduled for Wednesday May 8, 2023. Specific times will be posted soon. Now is a great time to focus on completing your project and making the required slide presentation. The requirements and rubric can be found HERE.
