Addressing Chronic Absence
and Attendance Factors
Class Overview
This workshop is designed to build capacity around the factors that impact student attendance. Utilizing evidence-based practices from Attendance Works, teams will:
- engage in learning that supports their collective understanding of attendance factors,
- explore root causes of chronic absence,
- analyze building attendance data,
- identify potential solutions to building-level attendance issues, and
- begin creating a plan to implement in-district.

Materials Needed
Participants will need to bring a fully charged laptop/ Chromebook to access online documents. Participants also need to be able to access building attendance data through their School Information System (SIS) or Panorama Student Success (PSS).
