Wee Deliver is Back!
Beginning April 22, Symmes Elementary will be participating in the exciting program put out by the U.S. Postal Service called "Wee Deliver." This program is designed to provide children with real-life experiences through participation in an intra-school post office.
In order to make this experience as real as possible, your child will need to buy a stamp to send a letter. The stamps will be sold during the school day for a penny each.
Parents can write letters to their child(ren) during the time the post office is running. Parents can send in a penny with a completed letter with the child. The classroom teacher will ensure that the letter gets a stamp and is placed in the mailbox. To make things simpler this year, everyone will have the exact same address:
Student name
Room # Symmes Lane
Loveland, Ohio 45140
There are three main ways you can help us.
- First, give your child the opportunity to earn the money he/she needs to purchase his/her stamps.
- Second, please encourage your child to write letters.
- Last, please send in extra envelopes and/or stationery.
Thank you to the Symmes PTO for covering the cost of printing the stamps.

Symmes Steppers is Returning this Spring!
Symmes Steppers is the lunch recess walking program that occurs on good weather Wednesdays in the fall and spring outside on the walking track. We are run solely with parent volunteers who sign up to work shifts to help track the kids’ laps & distribute their highly anticipated feet token rewards! The fall session was a big success and we’re looking forward to seeing the kids back out on the track this spring beginning Wednesday, April 6th. If you are interested in participating in this fun, healthy, and much-loved weekly walking program, please sign-up for a date(s) & shift(s) HERE! If you have any questions, reach out to Sara O’Hara at symmessteppers@gmail.com!

District Wellness Committee
We are looking for individuals (parents OR school staff) for our district wellness committee for next school year. We normally meet 4-6 times per year to discuss and plan events for student and staff wellness for the district.
We are also looking for individuals who want to be on our district Wellness Festival Planning Committee. This committee will meet before the end of this school year, once during the summer and then frequently next school year.
For both opportunities please contact Kelsey Warren - warrenk@sycamoreschools.org or 513-686-1796.
