Thank you!
Early Pick Ups
We have a large number of early pick ups lately and would like to express how disruptive this can be. Understanding that circumstances arise and that there are times when it is necessary to pick up your child early, please try to limit this as much as possible. The end of the day routines are as important as the beginning of the day routines! We need our students for the whole day of school to effectively provide your child their full education. Thank you!
Third and Fourth Graders MSTEP Testing
All Michigan third and fourth graders participate in the M-STEP assessment, testing their language arts and math skills. The testing window opens this week and lasts through the middle of May. Generally, it takes four-five hours to complete the whole test, and we divide these sessions into one-hour a day. Your child's teacher will communicate testing days for their class. Most of our students will finish up the ELA test this week and start the math section next week. This test is NOT timed, so students may have all the time they need to finish.
Please encourage your child to do their best, take their time, and get healthy sleep. It is so important that your child arrives to school on time, and please refrain from scheduling appointments for your student during these testing days. Your support is appreciated!
2024-25 PTA Board Nominations Open thru May 7!
The Rosedale PTA Board is looking for a few more willing parents to step up and participate in our PTA board for 2024-25. This is an opportunity to help plan the wonderful activities that take place and benefit ALL of our students. Please reach out if you are interested!
Here is the link to the nomination form for next year's PTA executive board:
Fist Pump Friday!
The Madonna University football team paid a visit to Rosedale on Friday morning! Our students got a proper welcome to school today!! See our Facebook page for more photos!
Surprise!
Every student was greeted with several fist pumps!
Who had more fun? The Raptors or the Crusaders?
Are you moving to a new school this fall?
For this upcoming fall, if you are moving or attending a different school not located in Livonia Public Schools, please email our school secretary at asutton7@livoniapublicschools.org so we can make sure your child's educational files are prepared for your child's next school and we can accurately account for this in our projected enrollment and staffing plans.
iReady Inspirations!
"Strive for 45!" I-Ready suggests forty-five minutes of quality work each week. Make sure your student works without rushing, producing quality results, finishing a lesson or two a day.
Your support is appreciated! We hope to see wonderful gains by the end of the year.
Spring is Here!
It's that time of the year - winter thaw and warmer weather! If you live within walking distance of the building, why not walk or ride bikes? Walking to school offers so many benefits: avoid the parking lot traffic, get exercise and fresh air, and use the time to talk to your child. It's a healthy choice!

Rosedale's Mission
We're building a better world, one student at a time!
Thank you for your continued partnership!
Happy Spring!
I am so proud of our 3rd and 4th graders. Part 1 of the MSTEP is about complete, and we'll tackle the math test next week. Please encourage your child to go SLOW, THINK, and just do their BEST! Use GRIT and don't give up.
April showers bring indoor recess! I'm proud of our kiddos using the 3 Be's throughout the day, and especially during indoor recess. The kids depend on an outdoor break to get fresh air, run and play, and hit the reset button for the afternoon. When we are forced inside all day, it makes a difference, and our students need to show patience and self-control. So, job well done this week!
Please pay attention to the yearbook and spirit wear deadlines. Once those online ordering systems are closed, we cannot purchase those items any longer.
We have many field trips and events planned from now until the end of the year, but in the meantime enjoy your weekend!
Mrs. Kohler
