Boonsboro Middle School
March 2019
From the Principal
This event brought to mind two main thoughts for me:
1) Holy cow...How are we already getting ready for NEXT YEAR'S students??? Where did the 2018-2019 school year go?
2) We have tremendously well-rounded, well-spoken, and genuinely kind kids in this building. When we asked for help from our music students and WEB leaders, we had an overwhelming response of students who were willing to rush to get homework done, eat dinner in the car, or leave dance class early to spend two nights (one of which had gorgeous weather) making sure our future students were excited, and not scared, to be BMS students.
I've said it before, but Boonsboro Middle School is full of great kids! Thank you for making them that way!
As we move into the excitement that spring brings, please provide an extra push for your child to do his or her best each day. Marking period three ends on April 4th. If your child is missing assignments, encourage him/her to have a conversation with the teacher about making up the assignments NOW to avoid scrambling at the last minute.
Please also continue to encourage regular attendance for your child, as field trips, music rehearsals/festivals, and other school-based events tend to make keeping up with class assignments a little more challenging during this time of year.
