Free Educator Webinar Series
Last month I shared with you these free educator webinar series on Building Stronger School-Family Partnerships.
If you are looking for some Family Engagement professional development that you can do on your own time, that is FREE and will give you some tools to engage your families with, I highly encourage you to take the time to check these out!
There are 3 webinars in the series and the first 2 have already been completed. HOWEVER, the recordings are available.
I participated in the 1st one, missed the 2nd one due to Spring Break, but did watch it at a later time. I am working on completing the assignments so I can receive my credit hours and certificate.

The PARENT Webinar Series kicks off in April!
Two parent webinars will be offered in this same series focusing on the Right Question Technique and the Support, Monitor & Advocate Model. These webinars will teach your families a skill that will empower them to ask the right questions and how to build a stronger partnership with their child's school!
Why don't you consider hosting the webinar on your campus? This is a great opportunity to engage with your families while they learn a new skill!

Title III Increasing and Strengthening Parental Outreach
This session details the responsibilities local educational agencies (LEAs) have to provide parental outreach training and activities to English learners (ELs), immigrant students, and their families. More specifically, how the Title III, Part A-funded LEAS are required to provide supplemental community participation programs, services, and training. It is important that LEAs offer a variety of activities that are designated to support academic achievement. Participants will receive a Guiding and Planning Companion tool.
Furthermore, participants will also receive training on Family Engagement and Community Engagement Resource Tools. The resource tools provide planning documents and specific examples of activities LEAs and ESCs may implement to support family engagement and community engagement using their Title III, Part A funds.
