Elementary Science and Social Studies Hybrid Instruction
Science and social studies asynchronous instruction is provided by D181 Teacher Librarians. Each teacher-librarian is responsible for an entire grade level of students across the district. Teacher librarians host 20-30 minute office hours for the purpose of answering general questions regarding the lesson or activities assigned. Office hours are not intended for tutoring but to assist students with specific concepts or assigned activities.

Students will receive a report card mark of (P) Pass or (NA) Not Assessed. If your child is engaged in other activities during the opposite half of his/her school day and cannot participate we fully understand this and do not want this to be a point of stress for any child or family.

Elementary Common Assessments
Common assessments in math will be administered to both hybrid and remote students. The protocol for remote testing can be found here. Common assessments are not sent home but a cover sheet with score will be sent home. Two devices are needed for remote assessments, one District-issued and one personal. The personal device can be a phone, second iPad or computer. One device will be used to log into the assessment and the second device will be for the virtual meeting link. If you need assistance with locating a second device for a remote assessment, please contact the Director of Assessment, Instruction and Evaluation, Tracey Miller.
