Weekly Announcements & Updates
*Attention Students! Our Cheerleaders will be competing in a Cheerleading Competition THIS Wednesday at the Birmingham Crossplex. If you would like to ride the spirit bus to support them, please see Mrs. Griffin for a permission slip on Monday. The bus will leave during the school day and tickets are available on GoFan!
*Attention Students! The Fellowship of Christian Athletes Madison County Kick Off Prayer Breakfast will be THIS Friday at 6:45am. See Ms. Pippin in room 147 to register before November 15th. The bus will leave from Lee High School at 6:30am. This event will take place at First Baptist Church.
*The HCS Dance Magnet Ensemble and Dance Department presents "Ignite the Fire" THIS Thursday, November 17 and Friday, November 18 at 7:00 pm. in the LHS Main Stage theater! All tickets are $5.00.

*Please support the Lee High School Track Team at their Fish Fry & Chicken Plate Fundraiser! This event will take place in the cafeteria in the rear of the school on Saturday, December 3rd between 11:00am and 2:00pm. Plate includes chicken for $12 or fish for $15 as well as baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, a slice of cake, and a canned drink. See any track team member or parent for tickets!
*Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. Any student interested in entering the military after graduation should plan to take it. The test will be given at school Tuesday, December 6th at 9am in the Lecture Hall and is open to all Juniors and Seniors. Sign up at this link by Friday, December 2nd!
Shout-Outs
- Shout-out to our Freshmen Students of the Week from last week! Saniya Davis comes to us for the Academy for Academics and Arts Middle School. Here at Lee, she is a member of the Dance Magnet and is also a Magnet Ambassador. In her free time, she enjoys listening to R&B and cooking. After graduating from Lee, she plans to go to college to pursue a career as a cosmetologist or a fashion designer. She has three sisters and one of them graduated from Lee in 2019. Sage Foster also comes to us from the Academy for Academics & Arts Middle School. Here at Lee, she is a member of the Dance Magnet Ensemble, the Track team, and the Tennis team. In her free time, she enjoys playing the oboe and the saxophone, plays her instruments in the Huntsville Youth Orchestra, and works at Publix. After graduating from Lee, she wants to go to Yale University to pursue a career as a general surgeon or a heart surgeon. She also enjoys learning to speak Spanish and her family is from Puerto Rico. Congratulations to both of them for living out our #FamiLEE values so well!
Shout-out to our PBIS Students of the Month for August & September! We had a great time celebrating them on Thursday before the long weekend. 9th Grade: Shawn Costley, Laila Mackey, and Rahkel Smith. 10th Grade: Terrell Matthews, Jael Michaels, and Bella Shuman. 11th Grade: Evelyn Cabrera-Reyes and Cordasha Watkins. 12th Grade: Trace Carlisle, Genre Davis, and Lily Fox. Congrats to these students who know how demonstrate positive choices the #LEEway! Also a shout-out to our October PBIS Teacher of the Month, Mrs. Ingwersen!

Upcoming Events
- Come see all the hard work our dance magnet students have been doing this semester in their fall dance show, ‘Ignite the Fire’ November 17 and 18 at 7pm on the Lee High Main Stage.
- Auditions for our Fall Musical "The Wiz" will be November 28th from 4:00-6:00pm in Mrs. Daniel's room with callbacks on November 29th. You must have 60 seconds of a song prepared to perform for your audition. Make sure you choose a song that shows your vocal range!

Special thanks to Mrs. Hunkapillar, Mrs. Johnson, Mr. Willmarth, Mr. Comer, and Mr. Lee for visiting middle schools last week to recruit for Lee Magnet!
