All Things Baker!
Principal's Message!
Hello All,
I was filled with lots of joy on Friday as I stopped in to see the Texas Military Heroes Breakfast filled with veterans being honored by the Baker ambassadors and their families. I guess I would have been considered a military brat, my father was career air force and most of my life we moved every three to five years. My uncles served in the military and my husband is a former marine! Any opportunity we get to thank these fabulous men and women for their service, we should! It was a pleasure to see some old photographs that one of our veterans brought and it reminded me of the fortitude and grit that filled the characters of these great Americans!
Grit and fortitude are characteristics that I see demonstrated in our kiddos and our educators every day. The courage that it takes for our teachers to have tough conversations and make decisions based on what they believe is best for kiddos. Passion they feel for each and every kiddo that steps into this building, to serve them and their families to the best of their ability, is evident in everything they do. Our front office staff who willing takes a kiddo into their office to give them a much-needed break or a quick hug or just an ear to listen, is another extension of that passion! Additionally, the students are full of grit and fortitude every day, working their best, being the kindest they can be, and never giving up their positive attitudes!
I am so proud of our students and our staff as they continue to inspire me each and every day! Thank you all for your support and sharing your little people with us! Please remember, at Baker Elementary we believe In a World Where You Can Be Anything . . . Be Kind!
Sincerely,
Danielle Wallace
