FVE NEWS
APRIL 2021
DEAR FRONTIER VALLEY FAMILIES:
Our school is so thankful that our 5th grade classrooms were able to participate in Outdoor Education at Stone Canyon at the end of March. This is a wonderful rite of passage for the oldest students in our school. Although the kids and staff were tired the following day, we were so happy they were able to attend this year and experience Outdoor Ed!
Our Fun Run is tomorrow and rain, shine or snow...we are ready and excited! We want to thank every family who has helped our school work towards our fundraising goal! As of this writing, thanks to all of you, we have donations from 49 of the 50 states! Alabama is our holdout but we still have time! Any Alabamians out there?
The funds raised this year will go directly into our classrooms with the installation of an audio system in each room! This advanced audio system will provide all our students better listening, speaking and understanding. We are also hoping to install displays for teachers to be able to mirror what is on their computers directly to the display for enhanced instruction. Again, we cannot thank you enough for everything you all do for Frontier Valley!
We are looking forward to the last quarter of the year and finishing “stronger together”! Thank you for choosing Frontier Valley as your child’s school.
Warm regards,
Kiersten Hall
Principal

PARENT INPUT ON CLASS PLACEMENT
Our school will soon begin working on creating class lists for the 2021-22 school year. Parent input is always an important part of this process. Although you cannot request a specific teacher, you can share with us qualities you are looking for in an instructor. If you would like to share some of your thoughts for your child’s placement next year, please use this FORM. If you shared your input in March, there is no need to fill out the form again. We will take input up until 4/15/21.
CLOTHING & SHOE DRIVE
Cleaning your closets and drawers?
Frontier Valley is having a clothing and shoe drive through the month of April. Your clothing and shoe donations (no household goods, please) can be placed in the USAgain bins conveniently located at the top of our drop-off lane. USAgain will empty our bins weekly and weigh all our goods...and we're eligible to win up to $1,500! Thank you in advance for your donations!
