2017 CHS TEACHER OF THE YEAR
Congratulations to Ms. Kim Frahm for being named Chandler High’s 2017 Teacher of the Year! Ms. Frahm, CHS’s Marketing and Entrepreneurship Teacher, received multiple nominations and is described repeatedly as hard-working, dedicated, professional, and instrumental in students’ success. According to CHS Sophomore Riley Whitt, “Ms. Frahm constantly pushes her students to be their best and work their hardest. She makes a personal investment in every single DECA student and their projects, and is the reason that we are successful at competition every year. There is no denying the incredible impact that she has had on me since starting high school.” Ms. Frahm is pictured with Mike Spangenberg (co-founder of State Forty –Eight and one of her alumni) as well as three different Chandler High AZ DECA State Officers, Ed Trang, Zoe Zammit and Juan Cardenas.
ROBOTICS ROOKIE ALL STARS
Beilee Kagen, Jessica Sarinana, Camila Trevino, Larazae Magby, Valeria Trevino, and Cyria Garcia competed in the FIRST Arizona West Regional Robotics Competition on April 7th. Their team, DOF (Degrees of Freedom), won the Rookie All Star award, which means they’ve earned the opportunity to compete in Houston during the week of April 22nd for the world competition. The theme of this year’s competition is “STEAMWorks” and robots must pick up gears and balls and then climb a rope. This opportunity was made available through the Si Se Puede Foundation’s Robotics program. Congratulations and good luck, DOF!
CHS EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAM

Congratulations, FCCLA!
MR. CHS
Eighteen seniors competed for the title of Mr. CHS last Wednesday. Students modeled title, beach and evening wear, and then the top 10 moved on to the talent portion of the program. From there, the top five answered judges’ questions. Ultimately, Isaac Dowdle, Mr. Choir, was crowned 2017 Mr. CHS. Isaac was escorted by Hailey Palmer. GIRLS BEACH VOLLEYBALL
Congratulations to the Girls Beach Volleyball team on completing their first season!
This was the Chandler’s first season adding beach volleyball and participating in the AIA sanctioned sport. CHS had a great group of young ladies on the team who were committed to working hard and competing. The girls continued to learn, grow and improve throughout the spring season. The team also took some time off the court to volunteer packing meals and raise money at Feed My Starving Children.
The team finished the season with a big win against Basha and is looking forward to next year! Go Wolves!
