Boston Massacre
- The first four people to die in the Boston massacre had over ten thousand people at their funerals, which was more than Michael Jackson who only had 8,750 people attend
- The gun that the soldiers carried was a Brown Bess musket that was just under five feet long and weighed in at ten pounds
Native Americans
Native Americans fought with the British because they didn't like the colonies (they thought the colonies were taking their land)
Ever wonder why Native Americans always have face paint on? Well, in a lot tribes, they would paint the female Indians with dots on their face, and the males with stripes. That way, in battle, no enemy would mistake a female for a male. An example is shown on the left.
King George
- King George III had 15 children.
- Even though he was the King of Enoand during the time of the Revolution, he suffered from a disease called Porphyria. This caused him to go insane and have temporary lapses in judgement.
Role of Women
Women did many things like nursing, cooking and cleaning. Also more scandalous stuff like secret soldiers and spying.
Deborah Samson disguised herself as a boy for 3 YEARS, went to battle, and got wounded twice. Eventually the doctors found out her identity and discharged her.
Loyalists
- Only 20% of colonists were loyalists, the rest were Patriots.
