Biotic vs Abiotic
These trees represent a biotic factor because they are living. Biotic factors are living things.
This Jandal represents an abiotic factor. Abiotic things are non-living.
Autotroph vs Heterotroph
Grass makes it's own food, therefore making it an autotroph.
This dog eats other things and cannot make it's own food which makes it a Heterotroph.
Predator vs Prey
The predator is looming over its prey because it is about to eat it , after traveling many miles during its time hunting it. This is a predator vs prey relationship.
Mutualism
I am giving her a book and she is giving me a book, representing a mutual exchange. Mutualism is when both are benefitting.
Commensalism
In this picture, I am giving her a shot which helps her fight off illnesses but does nothing to benefit me. A commensalism relationship is when one benefits and the other isn't effected.
Parasitism
Being a criminal is a bad thing, so being arrested and taken off the streets is a good thing. Parasitism is when there is a benefit for one thing and negative for another.
Food Chain
plant--producer
this is a producer (plant) which is the start of our food chain.
bunny--primary consumer
this is an herbivore and primary consumer, so it starts off the part of the food chain for carnivores/omnivores.
snake--secondary consumer
the snake eats the bunny making it a secondary consumer.
hawk--tertiary consumer
the hawk is a tertiary consumer because it eats the secondary consumer but it is not hunted like everthing else and is at the top of the food chain.
carbon cycle
corpse
corpses and dead things release carbon back into the air by decomposing
fire
my thumb represents a lighter/flame and i am burning the pass, releasing carbon
cars
cars/engines release carbon
breathing
we release carbon when we breathe
hand=plant (flower)
plants are the only things that take in carbon from the air and this benefits us because we need carbon but we can only get it through eating and plants are a direct source for that.
