February Newsletter
We have begun rotation 6 here at STMS! This month we completed our Winter MAP assessments and have seen growth in student scores in both ELA and Math compared to our Fall MAP assessment.
We held a PBIS celebration with all students who met their academic goals this past Friday! Congratulations to everyone who has grown their ELA and Math data this school year!

STMS Read-A-Thon
STMS is proud to announce its FIRST EVER Read-A-Thon Fundraiser! We want ALL
of our learners to develop a love of reading for pleasure, for knowledge, and for
adventure.
How does it work?
Every day beginning Monday, March 6, 2023 through Friday, March 17, 2023,
participants will earn money by reading books. Participants will get pledges from
family and friends to support their efforts. Sponsors can either pledge a certain
amount of money per minute read or make a flat donation. Please help us reach
our goal of raising $10,000 to support our PBIS School Store and SOAR day!
How do you get pledges?
Ask family, friends, and neighbors! There are two ways to request pledges:
Register your child at *Read-a-thon (99pledges.com) and follow the simple registration
steps. It takes just minutes to set-up your child's own fundraising page which will
then be emailed to friends and family to request pledges AND/OR complete the
enclosed sponsorship form. Both online and offline (sponsorship form) methods
are encouraged.
PRIZES TO BE WON!
The Top Advisory for Reading and for Amount Raised will get a pizza party!!!
The Second Place Advisory will get an ice cream party!
The Third Place Advisory will get a donut party!
How can you get involved?
We would still love to have some more goodies to spoil our readers with. There is a Sign up Genius with ideas of things to sign up for. The link is https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f084eafab2aa57-read1#/.
I also made and Amazon wish list if you just want to order some things online to have sent!!! Easy peasy!!! Here is the link; https://a.co/i3RDjOM.
To get to the website for donations just click on the link *Read-a-thon (99pledges.com). You can search your learners name by first name and first initial of your learners last name. Then you can find their fundraising page.
Please let me know if you have ANY questions at all! We want this to be fun and successful for all!!!
Thank you!
