ICCS PTO VIRTUAL AUCTION NEWS
THURSDAY, APRIL 1, 2021
A MESSAGE FROM OUR AUCTION LEADERS
Dear ICCS Families and Supporters,
We are less than 12 days away from the 2021 ICCS PTO Virtual Auction. For the first time in ICCS school history, we are hosting a completely online auction fundraiser. While we are sad to miss the opportunity to gather in-person for the annual PTO Auction, we are excited about the possibilities that a virtual auction offers. With easy-to-use electronic bidding technology in place, our virtual auction guests will have the capability to bid on items from anywhere, at any time of the day or night, starting at 12 noon on Tuesday, April 13 until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 16. All you need is a smartphone or a computer to bid on the items.
It takes an entire school community to plan, prepare and host an auction, both virtually and in-person. Our committee’s auction journey began more than a year ago. When the 2020 ICCS PTO Dinner Auction was canceled last minute due to the global pandemic, our team had to switch gears and move to a virtual event taking place 12 months later.
Finally, here we are! We would like to extend our sincere gratitude and heartfelt thanks to the many sponsors, donors, volunteers, committee members, room moms and dads, ICCS parents, students, teachers, staff members and school administrators who have stepped up and united together to make this virtual fundraiser possible. Please know your hard work, generosity and commitment to ICCS--the school we all love and cherish--is a blessing and a true gift.
We are very excited to share this special Auction newsletter with you. It contains important details and “need to know” information, as well as a ton of "sneak peeks" at some of the treasures you will find during the virtual auction. We hope you will take the time to purchase an Auction "to go" meal soon and bid on the many items and experiences that will be available April 13-16. Your continued support and dedication to the ICCS PTO help make our school thrive and financially succeed year after year.
Let’s go for the GOLD in 2021!
Sincerely,
Katie Devall & Kelly Serrano
2020 & 2021 ICCS PTO Auction Co-Chairs

8TH GRADE SERVERS "GOING FOR THE GOLD”
SNAP A PHOTO OF YOUR ICCS AUCTION CELEBRATION
How are you planning to spend the final night of the auction? Whether you choose a quiet family-only evening or plan a group gathering, please consider pre-ordering Auction "to go" meals and enjoy the excitement.
Here are some ideas to help make the night a fun experience for all (kids included):
- Decorate the dining room table with Olympic or ICCS themed items and enjoy your Auction "to go" meals as a family. Place bids on exciting family-friendly experiences and items that are sure to please everyone.
- Host an ICCS Auction "Watch Party" the night of Friday, April 16. Invite neighbors and nearby friends to walk over and enjoy their Auction "to go" meals on your patio, in the backyard, or in the driveway. No cooking necessary and minimal clean-up will be required! Keep watch of your favorite auction items and make sure your final bids are placed by 9:00 p.m.
- Make it an "ICCS Playdate!" Pick up your Auction "to go" dinners at 5:00 p.m. in the ICCS Park Avenue parking lot then head to nearby Lock Park or Drew Park for a group playdate. The Auction Committee will provide everything needed for an easy and fun outdoor dinner with the kids. You supply the picnic blanket and energetic children, we'll take care of the food and soft drinks. While the kids play and run free in the park, the adults can visit and place bids on their favorite auction items using their smartphones.
The possibilities are endless! We want to see photos of your group gatherings or family-time evening spent supporting the ICCS PTO. Snap a pic of your group or family on the final night of the fundraiser (April 16) and email it to kmorgan@iccsweb.com. Photos will be shared on the ICCS Facebook page throughout the evening and in the April 22 issue of the ICCS Panther Press! Those submitting photos will be eligible for a drawing to win an awesome ICCS Auction Swag Bag!

HOW WILL PROCEEDS FROM THE ICCS PTO VIRTUAL AUCTION BE USED?
For several decades now, the ICCS PTO has committed to raising funds on an annual basis to help cover these large expenses. Three major PTO fundraisers are held on a normal year to help meet these important financial needs, including the ICCS PTO Greenery Sale, the Panther Run 10K. 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run and the biggest fundraiser of the year, the ICCS PTO Auction. Due to COVID restrictions and Hurricane damage to our city, the 2021 Panther Run was canceled, leaving only two fundraisers this school year. The hope is to raise as much money as possible through the 2021 PTO Virtual Auction. Please help spread the word to "Grandpanthers," family members, friends, co-workers, ICCS alumni and school supporters in the area. Anyone can bid on items and help raise much-needed funds for our school. All proceeds will help improve our school learning environment and educational programs for all ICCS students.
I WON! I WON...NOW WHAT?
In less than two weeks, over 180 auction items will be sold to the highest bidders. Winners will be notified shortly after the auction closes on Friday, April 16.
Let's hypothetically pretend you have won that great auction item you were stalking and bidding on all week. You did it! You went for the "gold" and WON the item! What happens next? After receiving confirmation of your winning bid, there are a few things that need to be taken care of fairly quickly in order to formally claim your item.
PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS
When auction participants originally log in to Text2Bid the first prompt is going to ask you to enter your bidder number. All ICCS families will be given their bidder number on Monday, April 12, when we return from spring break. If you do not receive a number on April 12, please call 337-433-3497 or email Ada O’Quain, asoquain@iccsweb.com.
If anyone wishes to participate in the PTO Virtual Auction that is not an ICCS parent they may still do so. The website will give them the option to request a bidder number and then move to the next step. Once registered, the system will ask if you would like to input your credit card information to be linked to your bidder number and then added to our software for processing once the event is closed.
If you do not wish to enter your credit card information at this time, simply skip this step. The system will still allow you to participate in the auction. For those who do not enter credit card information, payment (in full) will be due at the time of pick-up.
AUCTION ITEM PICK UP
All auction winners MUST pick up their items and/or certificates and receipts on the following dates and times. PTO Auction Committee members and volunteers will be on stand-by at the "finish line" (AKA the ICCS Gym) to help disperse all auction items.
Sunday, April 18: pick up from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the ICCS Gym: please park in the ICCS Park Avenue parking lot and enter the gym through the side door (similar to the annual PTO Greenery fundraiser pick-up process). Please wear a mask inside the building.
Monday, April 19 from 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon: please park near the ICCS main entrance and check-in at the front door. Your auction items will be hand-delivered to you in the lobby area. Please wear a mask inside the building.
If you are unable to claim your items during the times listed above, please contact the ICCS front office at (337) 433-3497 to make special arrangements for item pick up.
