What was the Scientific Revolution?
The scientific revolution was a new way of thinking about the natural world, organized way of solving problems, occurred at the same time as the Renaissance and Reformation in Europe.
What was the change?
The change was that three different people found out things about the scientific Revolution which which change the way of our learning today and the people were Galileo,Copernicus,Johannes Kepler.
Galileo
~ Born in Pisa on February 15, 1564, died January 8, 1642
~ Built new theories about astronomy
~ He studied the heliocentric system
Copernicus
~ Copernicus was born on February 19, 1473, in Torun , Poland.
~ His idea was that the earth should be look as one of the planets that revolved around the sun
~ He is often considered the founder of modern astronomy
Johannes Kepler
~ Kepler was born on December 27, 1571, in southern Germany, died November 15, 1630, in Regensburg in Bavaria
~He then turned to the other planets and found that their motions corresponded to those of Mars
~ Discovered that their periods of revolution
How did the change impact society at the time?
People were mad mad because they believed in what the church had told them about the scientific Revolution which was not true. People started to look at things different.
How is that change evidenced in today's modern society?
It is evidenced because we still use the scientific Revolution today and it is used everyday. It changed the way way we learn today with the scientific Revolution. It even changed the way we look at the world today.
