South Jersey Book Festival Fun!
On Saturday, the 1st South Jersey Children’s Book Festival was held. Mrs. Hvisdas was able to nominate a few of our students for the special VIP experience. One of our OPS students had a chance to meet with some of the authors and illustrators, and get some books signed. This student has also been writing and drawing books with her classmates all year and encouraging other students to read them. Maybe we will see her at a book festival some day!
Mrs. Pellegrino's Students Study the American Revolution
Mrs. Pellegrino’s students have been reading about and researching the American Revolution. Some presented slideshows, and others wrote realistic fiction essays.
