5th Grade Fine Arts Show
"History of Rock and Roll"
Enjoy an evening of celebrating what your 5th grader has been learning in Art and Music!
Students have been hard at work creating art, learning songs, and rehearsing special parts for their music program! Before the concert, please visit our Fifth Grade Art gallery. The gallery will highlight one piece of art your child has chosen to display. A variety of projects created throughout the school year will be showcased. We invite you to walk around the gallery and talk with your child about the different learning activities and projects they've completed throughout the year.
- The art gallery is open from 6:30-6:45 and is "open house" style.
- Works Include:
Two Point Perspective Tree Houses- Students advanced their perspective skills and designed a treehouse that used the rules of two point perspective. Students self-selected the art material they wanted to use.
Wayne Thiebaud Desserts- Students learned about value, tints, and shades. They used their chromebooks to find reference images. Students designed a piece of art that featured a dessert (or two) and applied their knowledge of value to create the illusion of 3d forms.
At 6:45, Students will be invited to their classrooms.
The Music Concert will start promptly at 7:00.
Following the concert, parents will pick up students in the multipurpose room.
- For the event, dresses and suits are not required, but a shirt with a collar and pants for boys and a nice shirt for girls are preferable.
Please keep in mind that it may get hot on the stage - lightweight clothing is best.
Also, performers need to wear shoes that are safe for the risers (no Crocs or Clog type shoes please).
Your children are eager to share what they have been working on this year. We look forward to seeing you there!
