RES Staff Update

Links You Might Need
- If students NEED a paper packet, please complete the form below. We are not offering this to all parents. For those who have internet access, but who also want a packet, they still have access by using the link on the Learning at Home site.
- Packet request form: https://forms.gle/1rbaTcm9TEoWD1sD8
- Familiarize yourself with what the district is communicating. Pay special attention to the FAQ document https://www.cfisd.net/download_file/view/29386/8737. Questions and answers are being added to this document daily. Use the district website and this document to answer parent questions. Please do not attempt to answer questions you are unsure about. Record any questions you are not sure about and forward them to your AP or me.
- The google folder (COVID-19 Teacher Resources) is here. Everything that is referenced will be shared in this folder.
- If you checked out technology, please make sure you've completed the Technology Checkout Form: https://forms.gle/687Zbv6QYfn2bmxM7
Staffings and IEP Meetings
Paper Packets Verification--Important for all Homeroom Teachers to Read
If neither of these options work, please verify their address. We need their complete address (Rd., Ct., Lane, etc.) with their zip code.
The district is not certain about delivery happening and we should know something soon. Please do not promise parents that these will be delivered. There are concerns with this, so we want to see if we can help parents to get access to the packets at the school. While the plan is for Robison to have these at our campus, we are not going to be a site for meal pickup. If parents are picking up meals and packets, they are able to pick up their packets at the curbside meal pickup location.
I will be reaching out to staff (not homeroom teachers) to assist with the distribution of packets. Homeroom, special ed, and dyslexia teachers have been reaching out to parents, and it is still the expectation that you are available from 9 to 2. Admin, teachers without homerooms, and paraprofessionals will be needed in the future to assist with the packet distribution. As we get closer to this happening, I will let you know a schedule.
Diana and Sally are answering phone calls to the school. They are able to do this through an app on a laptop. I will post a message on our social media pages asking parents who have not heard from their teachers to call the school to give us their contact information. I know teachers have reached out to some families multiple times unsuccessfully, so hopefully, this will help us to get working numbers for these families.
Staff Meeting
Communication Logs
Please share your communication logs with Kelly and your AP. We are highlighting students' names who are in special programs, as follows:
Dyslexia/Dysgraphia=Purple
504 (Not Dyslexia/Dysgraphia)=Green
Special Education (including speech)=Yellow
Special Education + Dyslexia/Dysgraphia=Yellow and **
Students receiving 504 or special education services must be checked on at least 2 times per week. The general education teacher should still check on the student one time per week.
At Monday's staff meeting, we will discuss who will be reaching out to the students for the other check-in each week.
By highlighting the names of the students it will be easier to track the check-ins of these students. Please keep notes about supports you are rendering for these students.
Virtual Spirit Week
Zoom Meeting Reminders
I have also included a link for parents on setting up Zoom. The video is also posted below so you can watch and see if it would be helpful before you share this with parents.

Reminders when hosting a Zoom meeting:
- Please dress professionally. Casual/professional is fine, but not overly casual.
- Be cognizant of your background environment that is able to be seen by your audience.
- If you have other family members at home (which many of us do), find a place where you can communicate without interruptions or the risk of your families hearing something you wouldn't want them to hear. :)
- At the beginning of the meeting, ask parents to not share pictures of the screen where it contains pictures of other students. Not everyone might want their child's picture on social media.
- Communicate as a team if you are having Zoom meetings. We want everyone to be in the loop and not try to "outdo" one another. It is fine if you choose to do a Zoom meeting and other team members do not; however, please share if you are doing this
Professional Development
After things have settled down a bit, we'll look at other opportunities for our staff. We know you have a lot to focus on now.
