It's a Great Day in Pre-K!
Check out what's going on at Karla Brock ECA
April 5, 2024
The long stretch to the end of the school year has begun! We have a lot of stuff to pack in before school ends on May 16. We have classroom kite days and Western day this month. On April 19, we're dressing up in our best cowboy and cowgirl attire and playing lots of western games. April 25th will be our Title 1 Family Literacy Night. We are going to have math and reading games for families to enjoy as well as some snacks. Literacy Night will run from 5:30-6:30.
Our coin drive is halfway over and the kids are anticipating getting to throw a pie in Mr. Higgins face. Our building total is $755.61! Mrs. Cooper's class has a big lead but there is plenty of time to catch up. Don't forget that the winning class gets a pizza party and all of the kids in that class get to throw a pie in Mr. Higgins face. If we make our school goal of $3,000, every kid in the building gets to throw a pie!
Please help us out by sending a spare change of clothes to school with your child. This helps us out when accidents occur and keeps us from calling you to bring clothes during the day. Our recommendation is to place clothes in a gallon sized baggie with your child's name on the front. Thanks!
Our students have been hard at work making classroom quilts. Each student is making handprint art on a quilt square. Once we have all of our artwork completed, our quilting friends will put everything together and help us create amazing quilts! We will auction off each quilt at our Spring Program on May 14th.
Yearbook orders have started. You can click on the pic below or scan the QR code to visit the Jostens website. Orders can be made online until April 30th. Yearbooks are $25.

Staff Spotlight!
Mrs. Green, Assistant Principal
We are so blessed to have Mrs. Green as our Assistant Principal! This is her first year as an administrator and she been amazing. Mrs. Green came to us with a background in Kindergarten and 1st grade and she has a ton of valuable experience to share with us. This week is National Assistant Principals Week and we want to let Mrs. Green know that our building would not be the same without her. We love Mrs. Green!
Mrs. Patti, 3yr old Teacher Assitant
Mrs. Patti is part of our amazing 3yr old team. She came to MPS 3 years ago from Head Start and has been a great addition to our KBA family. Mrs. Patti helps us keep the building a fun place to work and she's wiling to help out anywhere. We're lucky to have Mrs. Patti!
