Spartan Scoop #6
October 2, 2015
Curriculum News:
- SLO's are due in Talent Ed by Monday, October 5th.
- Progress Reports were to be shared with me last week. If you have not done so please do ASAP.
- SIS should be used for grades from this point on and what we report from for Parent Teacher conferences. Make sure to have the previous grades/items needed in SIS that were used to determine progress report marks. Melissa will be in contact with everyone on what she will need for her to do her part for report cards at conferences. Please make sure to read and follow her directive.
- CWG proposals need to be discussed and put on the calendar for work time to prepare for SLO's and the reporting we use from these measures for CWG. Use the verbiage at the top of the form, this is vital! I have only had one turned in-- use this money for when planning with SLO's and data-- you can get paid for your time.
- Switches for Monday-- BLT will meet on Monday at 7:45 to present our SIP Goals to Central Office Administrators. Therefore CLT will be on Tuesday at 8 am- this is not much time--we will have some staff needing to communicate items briefly, but we will then view and discuss our SIP Goals. Sarah will have her smartboard up and we can view these docs at that time.
- SMART Goals-- if you are competing a Smart Goal, the deadline to have these formed up and solidified for your two goal areas is Monday.
- SIP Goals will be shared with everyone over the weekend via Google Drive.
- PBS Spartan Skills for next week are: Gym Assemblies-- Respectful- Spartan Skills #36
Building News:
- Please remind students of proper restroom behaviors-- boys bathrooms by the office and cafe' area have many scuff marks on the walls that Randy has had to hand scrub every night. He would appreciate the help in keeping this from happening. It looks as though it is intentional kicking of the walls.
- Help and supports--Thank you Mrs. David, Mrs. Patrick, Mrs. Swetnam, Mrs. Mathis and Mrs. St. Clair for being generous and helping cover rooms this week when we were short staffed!
- Huge Shout out to Mrs. Rivera and Mrs. Patrick for selflessly giving up their time and helping administer DRA's for the Fall window in Mrs. Sander's classroom.
- I was incorrect when I announced today about the 5 a day the Spartan way! Mrs. Snodgrass let me know that we did have some 4's at lunch this week. If your class is at a 5 still I would like to know so I can bring your class a Spartan Ticket!
- I am in need of more Lollipop moments if you are able to share! :)
- Do not forget to send in photos to me for our district webpage, the newspaper and upcoming district reports.
- Newsletters can be placed in my door mailbox. We have stopped using the old shelves in the workroom to turn in newsletters. I do keep these and use them in my discussions with parents.
