JSMS LOVES OUR SCHOOL COUNSELORS!
National School Counseling Week 2019
National School Counseling Week 2019, “School Counselors: Providing Lessons for Life,” will be celebrated from Feb. 4-8, to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems. This week, sponsored by the American School Counselors Association (ASCA), highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.
Tuition and Zoning Requests
The tuition/zoning application process for the 19-20 school year will open March 1. I know I have had recent questions from parents regarding next year, so hopefully this is beneficial information for you.

JSMS Spelling Bee!
JSMS Geography Bee
The annual National Geographic GeoBee is a geography competition designed to inspire and reward students' curiosity about the world. Questions cover not only geography, but also cultures, physical features, history and earth science.
JSMS school champion, Damon Dean, has competed in the bee as a 6th, 7th, and 8th grader and has since taken an online qualifying test to become eligible to compete in the State GeoBee in Nashville this spring. Good luck, Damon! We are proud of you, and it was truly inspiring to watch all 21 Sevier students display their geography knowledge!
