How and When it was Created
Christopher Sholes was one of the people to help create the first typewriter. Carlos shoules and Samuel Soules created the typewriter in 1867 and patented it 1868. They then sold their invention to Sholes and James Densmore. They were able to make the typewriter better and then they started making it in 1870. But no one wanted to buy the machine. So in 1873 they made a contract with E. Remington and Sons so that they could make it. Later Sholes lost all of his interest in the typewriter and sold all of his ideas. Sholes died on Febuary 17. 1890.
