Dear Cunningham Families,
I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend and remains in good health. I really appreciate the pictures and videos from families in the video that was made. It was such a nice surprise from amazing Cunningham staff, students and families. If you missed the awesome video, you can view it by clicking here. It was also great seeing all the creative ways students shared their favorite reads. Please scroll through this live link with students so they can see their peers.
Please share this week's principal message with students. The theme for this week is "Let's stay active, Cunningham!" You can also see the video below of Cunningham staff staying active. This week, we want to collect photos and videos of students and families staying active. We are hoping to get the most submissions this week as we encourage students to be active every day! We will continue to upload pictures and videos to this link. You can also email any picture/video to cunnpictures@miltonps.org and I can upload them for you. Be sure to send us a picture of you being active this week!
As a reminder, you can always reach out to Cunningham teachers. Here is the link from the Cunningham homepage with the contact information for the Cunningham staff. I encourage you to do this if you ever find yourself confused about the expectations or work students should be doing.
Please know that we realize you are getting a lot of emails from us right now - from the Superintendent, me, your teachers, specialists, etc. We are working to streamline communications as we continue remote learning. All grade-level activities and links can be found on this website http://mpsathomelearning.weebly.com and you will receive class-specific information from your teacher. Whatever work and activities you are doing at home should work for you and your family, you know your children best. Our goal is to keep our connections strong and keep learning alive for Cunningham students, within this new (temporary) reality.
All the Best,
Jon Redden

Staff Communication
On Monday, homeroom teachers and staff will communicate assignments for the week. The work will be available from the website below. This is the consistent work that the coordinators have put together for all students by grade level. Some homeroom teachers may also include specific items for just their homeroom classes. Specialist teachers and related service providers may also reach out to you individually as well.

Q&A with Cunningham Administrators
All students are encouraged to submit their questions in advance and we will read them and answer over Zoom.
Please have students use this link to submit their questions.
Even if they did not ask a question, you can click here to watch on Wednesday. The password to the meeting is 621914.
If this becomes popular, we will continue to host these weekly for students. Due to the number of students we have, I will mute the viewers. If your child has questions or comments, please be sure to submit them in advance by clicking here.
Special Education from Ms. Maselli
Thank you to all the families who were able to log into our "Special Ed Parent Coffees" this week in Google Hangouts! We realize some folks had technical difficulties and we will work through those. We hope to have additional opportunities to have parent outreach in this format, and if you are interested in our next gathering, please feel free to email Patty Leseneschal (plesenechal@miltonps.org) to get the right time and place as we continue to schedule over the coming weeks!
Next week you will be hearing from your student's special education staff regarding your student's Remote Learning Plan as outlined in the last email update. This plan will outline the special education supports for your students.
This past week, I have worked closely with all special education staff prek - 22 to discuss how we can support special education learning during this school closure, and am excited to see all the ideas they have already begun to implement on behalf of your students. If you have not opened the link from Dr. Spaulding's communication regarding the Remote Learning Plan for students with special education, I would encourage you to do so so you might review the Learning Plan Template in preparation of discussions in this coming week. This document will outline how your student will receive support during school closure. For most students, this document will change over time as staff responds to students' engagement in learning. Your child's special education team chairperson will be the person to facilitate the development of this document and can address any questions you have during this time.
Thank you for your continued support of this work as we work together to refine support for Milton students who have disabilities. Please reach out with any questions!
