KMS Students Do Right!
KMS will use Do Right! as a tool to teach positive behavior expectations, reinforce positive behavior when we see it, and reteach expected behavior when necessary. Please join us in helping students successfully meet KMS & parent/guardian expectations that they Do Right! at school, home, and in the community.

KMS Mission Statement
Welcome to Krum Middle School
Greetings Bobcat Families,
It has been another exciting week here at KMS. Our students are settling in, working hard in the classroom, and are exhibiting Do Right! behavior around school. Progress reports went home on Friday. Please take a moment to go over the progress report with your student. Parent portal is another great tool to monitor your student's grades. We also encourage students to take ownership of their own academic success by using student portal and their planner to stay on top of their grades. If you have questions about progress reports or parent portal we will be happy to assist you. If your student is having difficulty the good news is that it is still early in the nine weeks. We have morning tutorials and evening tutorials by appointment. It is important to remember that the six week progress report will determine eligibility for extracurricular activities. If you are a 6th grade parent ask your student about their clean and organized lockers. Mrs. Wall worked with every sixth grader on Friday teaching them organizational skills and helping them clean up and organize their locker. If you have a 7th or 8th grade student that needs help with organization have them let us know and we can assist them too. We are here to help. It was great to see our volleyball and cross country teams begin their season. Next week is setting up to be an even more exciting week with Homecoming and the first game for our KMS Bobcat football teams. The KMS community works hard! We hope you have enjoyed a safe and happy Labor Day Weekend with family and friends. We we will see you rested up and ready to learn on Tuesday.
Go Bobcats!

Krum Middle School Donates Books!
Thanks to our Children's Book Drive last May, Krum Middle School was able to donate a variety of children's books to Denton's Fred Moore Nursery School and The Wheeler House. Fred Moore Day Nursery School offers affordable and high quality child care for the Denton community. They serve infants, toddlers and Pre-K.
The Wheeler House helps protect women with children by offering a safe place for them to stay and then transition from difficult, often abusive, home situations. Children, from infants to teenagers, stay at The Wheeler House.
We were so proud to be able to offer a variety of books for the children in both of these amazing organizations. The Wheeler House and Fred Moore Day Nursery School were thrilled to have the donations!
We'd like to say a big thank you to all the families who donated books during our book drive, and to Sidney Martin, Raylee Carey, and Faith Butler, all of whom took time out of their busy summers to bring the books to children in need.
7th Grade English/Reading
We love our 7th graders!
7th grade English/Reading is in full swing. We've begun digging into our Passion Projects; we appreciate your parent support with these year long endeavors. We are also delving into poetry next week, beginning with the narrative epic poem, The Highwayman, and following it up with Edgar Allen Poe's Annabel Lee.
