Sym camp
The SYM Camp was very successful! The students enjoyed getting extra instruction on their instruments. The final run for both Concert and Symphonic Bands on Friday evening showcased the students hard work.
Thank you for the food donations and the volunteers that helped make Sym Camp a success!
Symphonic Band
Symphonic Band will perform at the Panther Prowl on Tuesday 2/27.
Wear you Black Band Polo and blue jeans.
Help is needed to set up the Gym for this performance, Meet in the Band Room at 5:30 on Monday 2/26. With the help of 10 volunteers, this should only take about 30 minutes.
Pep Band will perform at the Panther Prowl on Friday 3/2.

2018 Spirit Wear
We are offering the Orlando Band Trip T-shirts to all Band students for 2018 Spirit Wear.
The shirts will be $15 for sizes Adult S-XL and $17.50 for 2XL & Up. All orders are due Wednesday, February 28.

The 2018 DMS Panther Bands Car Show and Food Truck Rally will be Saturday, April 7

Spring Fees and Instrument Rental
All Spring Fees were due on Friday 2/2! Please send in payment!
ALL UNPAID FEES WILL BE TURNED OVER TO DMS ADMINISTRATION FOR COLLECTION.
Rhonda has emailed Statements, please check your email. Statements and Contracts were given to students. Have your child check their Band Room mailbox for their paperwork.
Spring Semester Class fee for Symphonic, Concert and Cadet Bands is $50
Spring Semester Class Fee for Jazz Band is $15
Spring Semester Class fee for Honor Band is $25
Indoor Percussion fee is $250
Winter Guard fee is $250
Payments
Payments can not be paid through CHARMS.
Payments can be paid through the DMS website, however a $3.50 fee will be charged.
Send cash or check payment into the band box with DL#, 2 phone numbers, student's name and what the payment is supposed to cover.

DMS Bands Instrument Rental
Spring Semester Instrument Rental fee is $50
Amy Todd emailed Instrument Rental Contracts, please send in signed contracts ASAP.
If you rent a DMS Bands Instrument you will need to sign a new rental Contract for the Spring Semester and pay the $50 rental fee.
BAND TRIP
ALL CHAPERONES ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE A CURRENT VOLUNTEER CARD!

Thursday 3/29 - Medication Drop off (#1)
Monday 4/2 - 5:00pm - Orlando Trip Meeting (5:00pm All Forms are Due, distribute t- shirts, collect snacks and meet chaperones). (6:00pm Trip Information Meeting)
Thursday 4/5 - Medication Drop off (#2)
Monday 4/9 - Garment Bag Turn In - 7:30 am - Band Room - Turn in garment bag w/uniform(s) & SIGNED Uniform Compliance Sheet.
Tuesday 4/10 - Equipment Load - During Class - Band Room - Turn in instrument and supplies for loading on the equipment truck.
Wednesday 4/11 - TBA - Arrive at DMS to load the bus.
Monday 4/16 - TBA - Return to DMS, parent/guardian must pick up their student(s).

Volunteers/Chaperones
All chaperones must pass the Secure Volunteer background screen and have a Secure Volunteer ID card. https://bib.com/secureVolunteer/Madison-City-Schools/
This ID card will be required to chaperone the Orlando Trip.
Please let us know when you have completed the application. Your name has to be submitted through the DMS office to process the application.
