West Middleton Update
~Building a Compassionate, Collaborative Community For All~
A few quick updates from Mrs. Krych for March 2020
A HUGE "Thank You" to our fabulous PTO and all of the volunteers who made our Spring Dance such a huge success last week!! And another shout out to Marnie Hyland, our fabulous art teacher, for an amazing Art Show. Marnie does an incredible job tapping into our students' creativity and designing beautiful art projects for them to complete. Please make sure to mark your calendars for our 3rd Annual WM Cultural Family Night on Friday, April 17th from 5:00 - 7:00pm. This is an amazing evening to experience all of the different cultures that make up our West Middleton family.
This Thursday we will be sending report cards home in your child's backpack. You may also access your child's report card in Infinite Campus. This is another way we can provide you with feedback on your child's growth over the last trimester. If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher. It has been amazing to watch and celebrate our students' growth over the past few months. We can't wait to see what they're able to accomplish during this final trimester.
Think spring and remember that at West Middleton, we are better together!!
With Gratitude,
Mrs. Krych
PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) March Updates
This past month we have focused on Be Safe and what this looks like and sounds like on the playground and in the hallway during the winter months. At our assembly in February, Pride Pack did skits to teach everyone how to be safe. Our next assembly is Monday, March 9th. At today's assembly students from Mrs. Lettau's class and Mrs. Davis's class shared with us how they have focused on Being Safe at West Middleton. For the month of March, our focus is on Be Respectful. Our West Middleton Justice Pack prepared a video for us to watch at the assembly on Be Respectful. All students have been enjoying the games we are offering outside during recess. Make sure to ask your child if they have joined and which one is their favorite!
PTO COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Please consider volunteering to help your West Middleton PTO for the 2020-2021 school year! It seems far away, but we are already starting to form committees to plan the bigger events. Please check out the link to see where we need help and consider donating your time and talents!

A Note From Your School Nurse
The temperature is rising which means spring is right around the corner! That means that the snow is melting, the ground is thawing....which can make for some pretty wet and muddy conditions outside! Now would be a great time to keep an extra set of clothing in your child's backpack. Recess can get messy!
We also ask that if your child does borrow some clothing from the health office that you wash it and send it back to school. Our supplies are starting to dwindle again!
Thanks for your help!
