FROM SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION
As the month of June approaches, I want to take a moment to thank the entire school community for the continuous support, encouragement, and flexibility throughout the course of this incredibly unique school year. The Lisbon Elementary School staff and I could not have implemented an effective and engaging school year without this unconditional support. We are down to a little less than a month of school and ending strong is incredibly important!
Congratulations to a Retiring Lisbon Staff Member!
We are saying farewell to one of our beloved Lisbon Elementary School staff members. Mrs. McCoy, our awesome and amazing physical education teacher, will be retiring this year. Mrs. McCoy has been a teacher for 39 years, and has been at Lisbon for the past 38 of those years. Mrs. McCoy has dedicated her career to the Howard County Public School System and we are extremely grateful. She plans to stay in Maryland for the foreseeable future. In retirement, Mrs. McCoy plans to travel with her husband, enjoy her children and grandchildren, and spend as much time as she can at the beach. We wish Mrs. McCoy all the happiness as she begins the next chapter of her life. We want to truly thank Mrs. McCoy for all she has done for our Lisbon students, staff, and community. We will miss her greatly!
