Understand that Gravity is the force that governs the motion of our solar system.
What is gravity?
The force that pulls objects to the center of an object. For example gravity pulls us to the center of earth and the sun pulls on the planets and keeps them in orbit.
How does gravity effect our solar system?
Without gravity all the planets, the sun, and all the asteroids would float away out of their orbit. Also everything on the planets will float off into space. All living things will most likely die because if they float to space they will lose oxygen and die.
What is an orbit?
The path of an object around another object. For example the earth orbits around the sun.
What objects in our solar system have an orbit?
Lots of things in our solar system have an orbit. For example the planets, asteroids, and moons all have an orbit.
