News from Lions Park School
Letter from the Principal
Thanks to those of you who were able to come to our Back to School Night last night. It was a pleasure to see you all. We look forward to partnering with you to ensure a positive school experience for your children. As I shared last night, please feel free to reach out to the teachers and me if there is anything we can do to help your child be more successful.
Our staff is very appreciative of your efforts to follow our safety rules around the school. I have been very impressed with the patience and cooperation shown by all at arrival and dismissal. Please continue these safe habits when we have rain, snow and cold. It is even more important at those times. We have noticed some families walking through the staff parking lot. Please avoid doing this because it can be difficult to see small children with all of the parked cars.
As I mentioned last night, Fridays at Lions Park will be school spirit wear day. We invite all students to wear blue and white or wear Lions Park gear. As you can see below, now it the time to order new spirit wear, if you want some. I think that doing this helps students develop pride in their school and helps them feel connected to the school community.
I wish you and your family a safe and fun Labor Day weekend. We are looking forward to celebrating my niece's first birthday at a pool party on Sunday. I hope that the extra day will allow you to enjoy some extra family time whether you are traveling or staying in the area.
Warmly,
Katie Kelly
