Monday Meet & Greet Activities!
Anonymous Friendly Fridays
This month's activity is "Friendly Fridays". It comes from https://www.edutopia.org/article/10-powerful-community-building-ideas?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA3JCvBhA8EiwA4kujZiq-wUQHnZ-P8HSoDytDJ5PEXtlNJZzfUKCRjBfE7rOA-f0EupY4UxoCuqcQAvD_BwE and was shared by a teacher in Massachusetts. Have your students write a friendly, anonymous note to a classmate. The teacher can collect these and then either share with the intended student on Monday, or create a shout out board where they anonymous note goes. It can help build student confidence by seeing what other students are sharing about them!
Curriculum Corner
Each month, I will be posting a instructional strategy from the lead4ward playbook. Teachers are encouraged to incorporate the instructional strategy during the month and share pictures that can go in the WAAG of them using it! https://lead4ward.com/docs/instructional_strategies/playlist_2023_24.pdf
This month's instructional strategy is "Make the Case". This strategy has students analyze and show their understanding of questions by declaring an answer choice as "Correct" or "Incorrect" and they have to justify why - all without seeing the other answer choices! This is a great strategy that has students looking at the stimuli of a question and help them to defend their stance! As we are in the midst of our EOC preparation - this would be a great strategy to use with released test questions for our EOC courses, and a great way to review and have students show understanding in our non-EOC courses!
Upcoming Events!
Thank you to our Athletic Trainers: Doc Beeman, Doc Mahlock, and Doc Kienzl!
