Some Things You Will Learn at First
You will have to learn it differently from the way you learned English as a little child.
You will learn different sounds, but mostly, they are easy:
a sounds like "ah" as in "mama"
e sounds like "eh" as in "pet."
i sounds like "ee" as in "see"
o sounds like "o" as in "okay."
u sounds like "oo" as in "too"
a sounds like "ah" as in "mama"
e sounds like "eh" as in "pet."
i sounds like "ee" as in "see"
o sounds like "o" as in "okay."
u sounds like "oo" as in "too"
There are a few other special sounds...
like: “h” – which has no sound (silent) ( Hola, hotel)
“ll” – which sounds like “y”as in “yes” (llamo, llamas)
“qué- which sounds like “keh” as in “Okay.” (Qué día es hoy-What day is it today.)

learn- in addition to learning the numbers.
Learn the days of the week.
Monday (lunes) is the first day of the week in the Spanish calendar.
Learn the months.
Notice how many of them look similar to the names of the months in English.
