Parent Teacher Conferences
Mark your calendars! Parent-teacher conferences will begin on Monday, March 4th and will run through Tuesday, March 12th. Grades TK-5th will have early dismissal at 1:15 p.m. Please be sure to inform your child's caretakers of the early dismissal.
While these conferences are not mandatory for all students, it is an important part of their education. If you have concerns regarding your child's progress or the teacher feels they have yet to meet grade level benchmark assessments, this opportunity will be set aside for you to meet with your child's teacher one on one. This is a time to receive information about your child's academic success, social skills, and how they are progressing mid-year. We encourage you to bring any questions or concerns so that they can be addressed sooner rather than later.
Oster's Scholastic Spring Book Fair Begins Monday, March 4th
Oster Families....
Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair starts Monday (YAY!). Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them on their journey to becoming lifelong readers. AND—as always—every purchase at the Fair benefits our school.
Here’s what you need to know about the big event, which will take place March 4-8 during lunch hour and after school until 3pm. (We have early dismissal all week 1:15).
Say goodbye to cash and hello to eWallet—your child’s digital payment account. Before the Fair, set up eWallet for worry-free, cash-free purchases. Anyone can contribute! Share each child’s eWallet so friends and family can add funds and give your kids more books to enjoy.
If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Book Fair online. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Every online purchase will also benefit our school.
Visit our Book Fair homepage to learn more and get started with eWallet and online shopping.
Sign up to volunteer here. Happy Reading!

4th and 5th grade family volunteers needed for Frozen Friday
A favorite Oster Tradition, Frozen Friday, happens each week! Stop by after school on Fridays outside the cafeteria to purchase a frozen treat and hang with friends! All treats are $1 or $2. Small bills are appreciated or we can take ApplePay! OR, purchase a Frozen Friday Card here.
Did you know that starting with this new year, Frozen Friday is a Science Camp fundraiser (goal is to raise $6,000 each year, a BIG help to our 5th grade families). We are looking to you, 4th and 5th grade parents and guardians to volunteer - sign up here! Volunteering to help with Frozen Friday is a great opportunity to get involved with HSC and only takes an hour or so on Friday afternoon! And, if your 5th grader wants to help sell, they are welcome to fill a volunteer slot. Again, please sign up TODAY.
We are also looking for a new lead for this year and next. Again, all money raised goes to reduce the cost of Science Camp to our 5th grade families. If you are interested, please email: covphsc@osterhsc.org.Walk-a-Thon, Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities!
Oster's HSC offers sponsorship opportunities for select local businesses and organizations to support enrichment programs at Oster through our Walk-A-Thon. Generous community sponsors can donate, and in exchange, receive visibility to the Oster community and this spring! We invite you to support Oster by supporting our Annual Walk-a-Thon.

Finally, you may be wondering… why do I need to reach out now? Having overlap between existing volunteers and new will create continuity and make everyone’s job easier!
